Lou Henry Hoover School of Fine Arts is excited to begin its first year of transformative work using the Community Schools model! This program aims to break the cycle of poverty and tackle long-standing inequalities by identifying areas of need and using community resources. The goal is to make sure students are healthy, successful in their studies, and supported in their social-emotional growth. Click here for more details about this initiative.
The Community Schools model connects with local organizations to provide a range of resources. We focus on improving academics, health, social services, and community development. Our dedicated Community Schools staff are here to help students learn better, strengthen families, and create healthier communities.
Our top priority is to make sure every student gets the support they need to succeed. We understand that students can't focus on learning if their basic needs aren't met. As we transition into a Community School, one of our main goals is to share resources and services with families. If you need extra support or have unique concerns about your student's well-being, please reach to our staff and we will reach out to assist you.
